I have been emailed about the wonders of these flameless candles, but can't help wondering what's next ... milk-free milk cartons, meat-free Big Macs or alcohol-free wine? Oh that's right, all those things already exist. Anyway, these candles are for those who don't want to deal with fire risks or replacement costs of a wick candle."Fixed with quality LED lights powered by household batteries the candles flicker and cast dancing shadows just like a real flame!Made from 100% paraffin wax this stunning collection includes a selection of pillars, tea lights and votives," promises the press release. I still prefer a real candle, or am I just missing the point?

Yeah I think I prefer real candles too.. Its just not the same.
ReplyDeleteI've just regressed to a five-year-old state - my immediate response was "That's just stupid". I'm not really a fan of faux - it's the real thing or nothing.
ReplyDeleteMe three. Stoopid. Mind you, if you love candles and have a pyromaniac 9-year-old child in the house who can't be trusted with matches, maybe this is your only option for flattering lighting?
ReplyDeleteOh noooo they are FANTASTIC! On a windy evening on the balcony, they WON'T go out, and they don't drip wax everywhere. They flicker just like real candles too, and you don't burn your fingers as you try to keep the candles alight. I love these - tried to get some for my mum for Mother's Day from Target but they were all sold out :(
ReplyDeleteOh well I am so glad someone likes them! I genuinely thought I had missed the point ...
ReplyDeleteAlcohol free wine - how could you say that!
ReplyDeleteMy mum bought some from Aldi. I'm all about a match myself. I'm with PPMJ - I like real.
